How I built a website and turned it into an online income

Description

I started my first serious website because I wanted to build something that could eventually generate income rather than simply publishing another personal blog. I had some technical knowledge but no established audience, no large marketing budget and no guarantee that anyone would visit the site.

The first version was much simpler than the site I eventually built. I spent too much time thinking about design and not enough time thinking about what people would actually search for. After several months of low traffic I started examining the pages that did receive visitors and the questions those visitors appeared to be trying to answer.

That changed the project completely. Instead of publishing whatever I personally found interesting, I began building pages around specific user problems and search intentions. I learned about site structure, internal linking, titles, descriptions, content quality, technical performance and the importance of making each page useful on its own.

Monetization was another learning process. I initially assumed that traffic automatically meant money. It did not. I experimented with several approaches and learned that a smaller audience with a clear reason to buy something can be more useful than a much larger audience that has no commercial intent.

I can share how I chose the subject, how I built the first version, what happened when almost nobody visited, how I approached SEO and how I eventually connected traffic with an income model.

I can also talk about the mistakes that cost me months of work: changing the site too frequently, creating content without a clear purpose, focusing on vanity traffic and assuming that one successful page would automatically make the whole website successful.

The experience is from building and operating my own site. It is not a promise that the same approach will produce the same financial results today. Search engines, user behavior and competition change constantly, but I can explain exactly how I approached the problem during my own journey.
