Trust & Safety

iBrenta is a marketplace where people can find and share personal experience, practical knowledge and skills.

Trust is important when people connect with each other. These guidelines explain how to use iBrenta safely, what to watch for and what to do when something appears suspicious or violates the rules.

Use your own judgment

iBrenta helps people find each other, but every user should independently evaluate an offer and the person providing it.

Before relying on information or entering into an agreement with another user, consider whether the person's experience is relevant to your situation and whether the information provided is sufficient for your needs.

Do not assume that a user's personal experience constitutes professional, legal, medical, financial or other regulated advice.

Be careful with payments

Be cautious if another user asks you to:

  • send money before clearly understanding what is being offered;
  • make a payment through an unusual or suspicious method;
  • provide payment credentials;
  • provide passwords, verification codes or account access;
  • transfer money to someone unrelated to the transaction;
  • continue a transaction under unusual pressure or urgency.

Never share your passwords, one-time verification codes or other account credentials with another person.

Protect your personal information

Do not unnecessarily share sensitive personal information with other users.

Be particularly careful with:

  • passwords;
  • authentication codes;
  • bank and payment credentials;
  • identity documents;
  • private addresses;
  • confidential correspondence;
  • other information that could be used to impersonate you or access your accounts.

Only disclose information when you understand why it is needed and who will receive it.

Watch for suspicious behavior

Be cautious when a user:

  • promises guaranteed results;
  • pressures you to act immediately;
  • refuses to explain what is being offered;
  • provides inconsistent or obviously false information;
  • asks for sensitive information that is unrelated to the offer;
  • asks you to move a transaction to an unusual payment method;
  • offers something that appears illegal;
  • asks you to participate in activity that violates the law or the platform rules.

If something does not make sense, stop the interaction and verify the information before continuing.

Personal experience is not a professional guarantee

iBrenta is intended for sharing personal experience.

A person may describe what happened to them, what they tried and what worked for them. This does not mean that the same approach will work for another person.

Personal experience should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular outcome.

For situations involving medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other regulated matters, consider obtaining advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Report suspicious content

If you believe that a card or user violates the rules, contains fraudulent information, promotes illegal activity or creates a safety concern, report it through the available reporting mechanism.

When reporting an issue, provide enough information to help us understand the problem.

Do not attempt to retaliate against another user or resolve a suspected fraud situation by threatening or harassing the person.

Content moderation

iBrenta may review reported content and take appropriate action when content violates the platform's rules or applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:

  • removing or hiding a card;
  • restricting a card's visibility;
  • restricting a user's ability to publish;
  • restricting access to parts of the platform;
  • taking other appropriate measures.

Not every disagreement between users constitutes a violation. Personal opinions and differences in experience should be distinguished from fraud, prohibited activity and other rule violations.

Prohibited activity

iBrenta does not permit the use of the platform to facilitate illegal or harmful activity.

This includes, among other things:

  • fraud and scams;
  • illegal drugs;
  • trafficking;
  • illegal weapons-related activity;
  • sexual exploitation;
  • exploitation of minors;
  • terrorist or extremist recruitment or propaganda;
  • malware and credential theft;
  • instructions intended to facilitate serious harm;
  • stolen goods or services;
  • other unlawful activity.

Content that violates the platform's rules may be removed.

Meet other users responsibly

If you decide to meet another user in person, use reasonable precautions.

For an initial meeting, consider choosing a public location and informing someone you trust about your plans.

Do not feel pressured to meet someone if their behavior makes you uncomfortable or you have concerns about their identity or intentions.

Remember what iBrenta is

iBrenta is a marketplace for personal experience and practical knowledge.

The platform provides a way for people to find each other. It does not make every claim made by a user true, does not guarantee the quality of every experience offered and does not eliminate the need for users to exercise their own judgment.

Use the information available to you, ask questions, verify important claims and make decisions carefully.

If something feels wrong

Stop the interaction if you believe you are being deceived, pressured or asked to participate in something unsafe or illegal.

Preserve relevant information about the interaction and report the problem through the appropriate channel.

For immediate danger or suspected criminal activity, contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service in your location.
