How I learned Spanish as an adult
Description
I started learning Spanish as an adult with no realistic expectation of becoming fluent quickly. I can share the routine I followed, how I practiced speaking and the mistakes that taught me more than the textbooks did.
For the first few months I collected vocabulary but struggled to actually use it in conversation. The turning point was changing my routine so that listening and speaking became part of everyday life rather than something I only did during study sessions.
I can talk about how I combined apps, videos, conversations and simple reading, how I dealt with forgetting words and how I kept studying when progress felt invisible. I can also share the resources I personally found useful and the approaches I abandoned because they looked productive but did not help me speak.
