I left an office career and became a freelancer

After years in a regular office job, I decided to try freelancing. I can share how I prepared financially, found my first clients, organized my working week and dealt with the uncertainty of replacing a salary with independent work.

The hardest part was not the work itself. It was getting used to the fact that there was no guaranteed paycheck at the end of the month. I had to learn how to look for clients while still delivering existing projects, set boundaries and decide which opportunities were actually worth taking.

I can walk through how I made the transition, where my first clients came from, what I underestimated and what I would do differently if I were starting again. This is based on my own experience rather than a general freelancing course.
