I went from zero to my first half marathon
Description
I was not a serious runner when I started. Over time I built enough consistency to finish my first half marathon. I can share how I structured training, dealt with missed sessions and kept going when motivation disappeared.
My first attempts were not particularly impressive. I ran too quickly, trained inconsistently and assumed that every workout had to feel difficult to be useful. Eventually I learned to slow down, increase distance gradually and pay more attention to recovery.
I can describe how I planned my weeks, what happened when I got tired or missed training, how I prepared for race day and what surprised me most about completing the distance. I can also share the small practical changes that made running easier to maintain alongside normal work and family responsibilities.
